The garden had felt the dryness of the passing weeks, earth and foliage wearying for relief. Then, dark clouds gathered on the horizon, promise of a blessing inbound. First came scattered drops, a hesitant kiss upon leaf and petal. But soon the veil broke, a steady whispering descent refreshing all in its path.
Amongst the greenery stood proud clusters of lilies, their forms curved graceful as smiles. But it was from above they gained new radiance, drops clustering on smooth skin like diamonds. What seemed a pure white shone now with prismatic hints, beauty magnified through water’s simple lens. As raindrops wandered or stayed clinging, each glistening petal came alive with a luminous glow. Their grandeur, always present though quiet, was now on full display for any eye passing by to admire freely this common gift of nature.
